Keep all four fingertips.
A spring-loaded arm holds the Slide Ring in place behind your fingertip, so it stays on your finger while all four fingertips remain free for chords, scales, and bars. Bring it to the strings for slide, then go right back to fretted playing.

How should the Slide Ring fit?
Correct fit leaves a visible gap between your finger and the metal ring. It should not fit like a snug jewelry ring; the spring-loaded arm takes up the slack within the size you choose.
How is it different from a full-sized slide?
The Slide Ring sits behind your fingertip, leaving all four fingertips available for fretted playing. The Black Mountain Spring-Loaded Slide covers a finger and provides a full-sized surface across up to six strings.
What does Tungsten change?
Choose Tungsten for a long, lush sustain. Its playing surface is finished with nickel plating.
