Classic design. Pressure you control.
The Black Mountain Capo combines a traditional saddle shape and nickel-plated finish with a fine-adjust thumb screw and spring-loaded string pad. Clip it on, set the pressure, and play.
For six string acoustic and electric guitars with steel strings.
“This is my new favorite capo. Easy to put on. I love how easy it is to get just the right amount of pressure.”
Fine-adjust it to your guitar.
The ratchet arm closes around the neck. Turn the thumb screw to increase or reduce the clamping pressure in small increments.
When you move to another fret, loosen the screw slightly, reposition the capo, and readjust. You control the setting rather than relying on a fixed clamping force.
A closer look at the string pad.
Nine compression springs sit beneath the string pad, allowing it to flex across its width.

Before you choose.
Will it fit my guitar?
It’s designed for six string steel-string acoustic and electric guitars. Neck width, thickness, and fret position affect fit. If you’re unsure about your guitar, send us the model before ordering.
Ask about your guitarHow does the adjustment work?
The ratchet arm secures the capo around the neck; the thumb screw makes the smaller pressure adjustments. The demonstration above shows the full process.
Can I keep it behind the nut?
On guitars with enough room, it can stay behind the nut when not in use. This depends on the neck and headstock shape. A raised reinforcing area where the neck meets the headstock can prevent it from fitting there.
