I have been fashioning my own thumb picks for some time for switching between finger style and flat and cross picking. I have found the Black Mountain picks to be very good and reasonably priced. I’ll be using them from now on! I’ve tried them all and these are the best.

It’s my new go to. I moved from slick picks to the Black Mountain medium gauge for guitar playing. I highly recommend the heavy (red) gauge for mandolin. These are great—they are super comfortable and allow for a combo of travis picking, flat picking, and strumming.
